Are Apple price fixing ebooks?
Lawsuits against Apple, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Harper Collins and Macmillan publishers and more besides - could be about to happen, as they stand accused of fixing the prices of ebooks, in order to get Amazon to abandon its pro-consumer cheap £9.99 ebook priced ebooks. Amazon was all ready to undercut the competition with lower priced ebooks, in answer to what many felt the ebook market needed - when the move forced Amazon to abandon this tactic...
Apple rings in new changes...
New changes are on the way and by the year 2015, we can expect lots of new changes to the way we interact with our information on our PCs. Apple want us to no longer use Hard Drives or Optical drives (CD & DVD drives) in our computers or laptops. They are apparently adding weight, increased chance of breaking down, compared to say - Flash memory, which is cheaper and faster. And our information will in the future be copied and backed up into the "cloud". Something Apple have already been working on. The changes will extend to the cloud in a host of ways and means. Apple wants all our connections to information to be handled wirelessly via the cloud. Our way of using computers is about to change in a massive way - but do we want these changes?...
Android smartphones getting smarter apps
The Google Android Operating system will in future on HTC smartphones look a bit different, as HTC pushes out the boat to customize the built-in apps and new apps for HTC smartphones and embrace its HTC Sense system. The trouble with Android is every App on every Android phone looks the same. Now HTC will allow developers customize Mobile apps to take advantage of HTC sense, the system that sits on "top" of Android, allowing more added features and functionality. HTC have always cleverly stayed ahead in the Android market by offering more impressive features as it tries best to stand out from the increasing number of Android competitors. So how is it done?
